He founded CleanAnalysis after the successful growth of Greenbang.com, a multiple-award-winning news website he established before the green and cleantech boom. As a journalist, he wrote for the Financial Times, covering technology, environment and business. He has written and researched for the Economist Group, The Daily Telegraph, BusinessWeek, the New York Times and a variety of magazines. He advised a lot of indexed firms, but is proud to be an advisor to the University of Bath’s Innovation Centre. |
Steve O’Donnell – Advisor and Senior Analyst
Steve specializes in data centre power and cooling, strategy and best practices, IT service management, automation and architectures. Prior to CleanAnalysis, he was EMEA MD of analyst firm ESG. Before that he ran IT Infrastructure for FDC – the largest credit-card-processing company in the world. He was Global Head of Data Centres at BT running the largest data centre estate in Europe. He has a reputation as a thought leader in Green IT, having won six industry awards for his 21st Century Data Centre vision and design. |

She holds a degree in geological sciences and is also a seasoned journalist who has written for The Chicago Tribune, internet.com and Web Hosting Magazine, among other publications. She has also operated her own analyst organisation focused on the web hosting space. |
Spencer McGawley – Analyst
Spencer provides advice and thought leadership on environmental and sustainability issues. In over a decade working in frontline environmental management, he has provided expert advice and oversight to major projects both in the UK and abroad, from both a project led and policy perspective. As well as author of the Environmental Statement for the London Congestion Charge Western Extension, and other major transport, infrastructure and housing schemes, he has also written answers for ministers for Parliamentary Questions in the House of Commons. Spencer specialises in the creation of novel appraisal techniques to deliver answers to cutting edge environmental questions, and was one of the first Chartered Environmentalists to receive Royal Charter in the UK. |

He has worked in diplomacy and sustainability for several years, most recently in Riyadh as a personal advisor to members of the Saudi Royal family, and for many years worked in PR strategy, advising and executing on Microsoft press and public relations strategy. |
